On 26 November 2025, the Münster Climate Alliance’s (Klimaallianz) networking meeting took place at EFTAS. Around 20 participants from industry, local government and research gathered at our premises to discuss the topic of ‘Heat pumps in commercial applications’.

Following a welcome address by Julian Schütte (City of Münster) and Andreas Hübner (Gertec GmbH), our Managing Director Olaf Büscher introduced EFTAS as the host organisation and provided insights into current projects relating to GeoIT and digital twins.

A key item on the agenda was the presentation by Daniel Kloster (Carrier Kältetechnik Deutschland GmbH). He highlighted just how versatile heat pumps can be in the commercial, retail and service sectors – ranging from individual projects in Münster to the All Electric Society Park in Blomberg, a public experience and demonstration park that brings the future of a climate-neutral energy supply to life.

“The term ‘All Electric Society’ made a particular impression on me; it highlights just how important heat pumps are for a climate-neutral energy supply,” emphasises Sabine Lüth, who is responsible for environmental and sustainability management at EFTAS. The concept of the ‘All Electric Society’ describes a future in which all energy sectors are supplied by electricity generated in a CO₂-neutral manner. This is based on renewable energies as well as storage and conversion technologies.

In addition to the technical insights, the open exchange amongst the participants was also crucial – whether during the break or in the plenary session, with questions such as ‘Where do you stand?’, ‘What challenges are you currently facing?’, ‘Does anyone have experience with…?’ The networking event concluded with a lively discussion and an outlook on the Climate Alliance’s upcoming activities.

For EFTAS, it was a valuable opportunity to highlight its own role in local climate action in Münster, whilst also gaining new insights to apply in practice.
